Forty years ago, Childrens Museum Houston was brought to life by an intrepid group of Houstonians who believed our city deserved a state-of-the-art childrens museum that would transform our community through innovative child-centered learning. In the four decades that followed, CMH has grown to serve more than one million children and families a year and is recognized as one of the best childrens museums in the world!

Now, as we prepare to celebrate the big 4-0, we are doing big things VIRTUALLY! Our physical doors are closed, but our virtual doors are open wider than ever before. We are investing in innovative ideas (from Virtual Reality and live online courses to a brand new app!) that will enable us to provide best-in-class educational opportunities for all children wherever they are online, in the classroom, or at home. Not to mention our continued commitment to providing much needed support for parents, our childrens first teachers, as we navigate virtual learning together.
