We at the Shorter University College of Business strive to offer our students opportunities to grow and experience life in ways that allow them to be best prepared for life after graduation. We are extremely excited to begin offering study abroad opportunities again starting with a trip over our spring break to Ghana! This opportunity has multiple intentions with a few of those consisting of assisting with local business through micro-grants and building business to benefit their own communities, to allow our students the opportunity to consider international experiences and form last memories, and most importantly to spread the word of Jesus. Through a detailed planning process, we are confident that the students attending this opportunity will successfully accomplish and experience these goals in a meaningful and lasting manner.

The Shorter University College of Business Global Experience Trip provides an experiential learning opportunity to first-hand relate applicable concepts from students’ academic content to real-life situations. The purpose of this opportunity is to help create the setting for students to raise their awareness of our interconnected and interdependent world. By providing this cross-cultural opportunity, the students will gain a competitive edge in the job market by developing the soft skills of cultural consciousness, communication, interpersonal skills, teamwork, responsibility, and much more!
