Board of Advisors Challenge
When 50 donors make a gift to the College of Computing on Giving Day, an additional $16,600 will be unlocked for the college. Every gift amplifies our impact and ensures the College of Computing continues to thrive.
Special thanks to Board of Advisors members Eric Burger (Ph.D. CS '06), Frederica Darema (M.S. PHYS ’72), Johnny LeRoy, Mark Haraburda (M.S. FM ’04), and Bob Kress for sponsoring this challenge!
Why support the College of Computing on Giving Day?
Since its founding five years ago, the College of Computing has grown to become one of the largest colleges at Illinois Tech with over 2,200 students. As we move to a world of computing driven by data and artificial intelligence, the college—and the whole university—needs to adjust to quickly changing technological trends.
One of the pillars for the College of Computing is, to paraphrase Frank Gunsaulus, to provide students of all backgrounds with meaningful roles in a changing technological society. Illinois Tech has a long history of providing a tech-focused education to students who might not normally have that opportunity. Your gift helps us address this mission to ensure our students—both in the college and across the university—have the right tools and skills to succeed in this new world. This year, your gift will directly benefit student scholarships within and across the College of Computing.
