Middlebury College Crew is a competitive club program, founded in 1988. Competing against the top teams in New England and across the nation, the team has built a tradition of grit and determination over three decades, and have medaled at events in the Head of the Charles, Dad Vail Regatta, New England Rowing Championships, and the American Collegiate Rowing Association Championship, among others.
Both the men and women seek to advance this tradition every day. Operating as one team, we emphasize physical fitness, developing a positive team culture based on mutual respect and inclusivity, and academic focus. Our rowers are pushed to succeed on and off the water and to be an example of a Middlebury student-athlete.
Unique to many rowing programs across New England, Middlebury Crew is proud to be a no-barrier, full-acceptance program. All prospective athletes, no matter the experience, ability, or financial need, will be accepted and supported on our team.
Because we are a full acceptance program, we rely heavily on the generosity of donors to cover the many expenses inherent in competition, traveling, maintenance, and practicing. We could not stay afloat, quite literally, without the support of Middlebury Crew alums, parents, and donors!
