Your oncologist is confident in your recovery and tells you that it's now time for radiation; unfortunately, you know that the nearest hospital for radiation treatment is 120 km away. Imagine the emotional and financial burden that now places on you and your family. The anxiety of leaving your family and your familiar medical team, coupled with the challenges of daily survival throughout the period of treatment in an unfamiliar city, perhaps staying in a hotel. To navigate this next step is overwhelming, especially if you cannot obtain adequate financial resources. Treatment stops.

This is why Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally Charity has decided to step in and purchase a Linear Accelerator Radiotherapy Machine (LINAC) that enables critical cancer treatment closer to home in Rural South India! We plan to purchase the Radiotherapy Machine for The Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre ("SNHRC"), a rapidly growing Charitable Health Care Centre in Rural South India.

This system rounds out SNHRC’S Cancer Department and may also be used as a ‘backup’ to ensure there are no microscopic cells remaining after surgery and chemotherapy has been completed.
