Coach Stein Rear and the CU Baseball team are raising funds to offset the cost of their spring trip, improve equipment and technology, and build a new locker room/clubhouse. Your gift will help to raise the funds needed to create a high-level collegiate experience for this large 50-player roster.
Studer's Blue Wahoo Challenge is an annual baseball tournament held in Pensacola, Florida (March 13-20 this year). The tournament features college baseball teams from across the country who will have the opportunity to experience the stadium's new (one year) turf field and LED lighting. The CU Baseball team began fundraising for the trip in the fall, working as ushers at the Badger football games.
The Baseball team would also like to purchase Win Reality - a VR technology that allows hitters to take virtual at bats vs. with pitchers, allowing them more reps and to see more pitches prior to the start of the season.
Another very important endeavor for the team is to build a new locker room. Currently, there is no dedicated space for the Baseball team, and players are changing/showering in their dorms and carrying their equipment to and from practices and games. The tentative location would be behind their current dugout at Frame Park, and the new space would contain 40 lockers, bathrooms, and athletic training space.
Please make your gift in support of CU Baseball today! Thank you.
