Story
On the evening of September 8th, 2021, WINGS provided its 1,000,000th night of safe housing and shelter to domestic violence survivors.
At any given time, WINGS provides safe housing and shelter to approximately 300 women, men and children across the Chicagoland area as they recover from the trauma of domestic violence. In addition to safe housing at its two emergency safe houses and 151 housing units, WINGS offers a continuum of services through Community Based Services including hospital partnerships, counseling, mentoring by compassionate volunteers with cultural or shared life experience, and a comprehensive Children and Family Services Program.
WINGS looks forward to continuing to support victims of domestic violence toward safety, security, and independence on their journey to freedom. Please join us in continuing to provide nights of safe shelter and comprehensive services to women, men, and children fleeing domestic violence in the Chicagoland area.
