Serving the university from 1923 to 1964, Professor Balabanis helped shape Humboldt into what it is today. As both a dedicated economics professor and a respected administrator, he influenced campus. Known in his time as “Mr. Humboldt,” he was also a passionate supporter of the arts 🎭 and a champion for student success.
To honor his extraordinary legacy, the Homer Balabanis Economics Scholarship was established.
