Hello Region 81! We are excited to bring this volunteer and donation event to you all as we work to increase our impact in the community we support and around the world. As many as 811 million people worldwide go to bed hungry each night and this number has been on the upswing in recent years due in part to the pandemic and international conflicts. Meals From the Heartland has been working to feed hungry children in Iowa and across 39 countries since 2008. Last year Meals From the Heartland distributed over 839,000 meals in Iowa alone and over 26 million meals in total around the world. We can't think of a better time to support this effort or a better organization to partner with as we look to help make an impact.
