To date, our commitment to patient-centered research has led to significant scientific breakthroughs that culminated in 20 FDA approved melanoma treatments. Since 1998, the MRF has funded over $28 million in peer-reviewed research grants leading to patents, clinical trials and FDA-approved treatments, bringing hope to countless patients and families. This year, as federal funding for research continues to be uncertain, the MRF has increased its investment by funding an additional Established Investigator Award enabling an established melanoma researcher to explore unmet clinical needs in melanoma research.
