We connect IEEE member-led initiatives with financing, expertise and philanthropic guidance. Our goal is to put effort where philanthropy and technology intersect. Together, we deliver opportunity, innovation and impact, and advance the IEEE mission across the globe.

Story

The EPICS in IEEE initiative provides opportunities for students to engage collaboratively with local community organizations to develop engineering solutions that address local community challenges.

Through global, hands-on educational opportunities, EPICS in IEEE further empowers the next generation of engineers to advance technology for humanity. In our projects, students must be meaningfully involved in the Engineering Design Process and engage the community throughout the project, helping them gain critical skills that help them launch successful engineering careers.

“This experience not only enhanced my technical knowledge in Generative AI and real-world implementation, but also taught me the value of human-centered design and empathy in engineering. It helped me grow as a socially responsible developer, and I’m truly grateful to have contributed to a project that empowers others through technology.”

When you donate to EPICS in IEEE, your investment has a long-lasting impact on communities and the students actively contributing to the project. Through our program, students gain critical skills that help them launch successful careers. The leadership, teamwork, communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills they develop on projects prepare them for the workforce like no other program and position them for success in their future engineering discipline.

We hope that you support our program and join us in our goal of raising $15,000 to support future EPICS in IEEE Projects. Your investment helps shape the engineers of tomorrow.
