Story

The Department of Environmental Science and Management at Cal Poly Humboldt is dedicated to hands-on experiential learning, which is at the heart of what it means to be a Polytechnic University. Your support will aid students in exciting ventures such as the Klamath Basin Field Course, Humboldt Sea Level Rise Institute, outdoor retreats hosted by the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and senior capstone courses that provide transformative experiences that Humboldt is known for.

As faculty and students in Environmental Science and Management continue to focus on the betterment of people and the planet, we urge you to be a part of this work. Join alumni, community members, emeriti faculty, and parents of these incredible students by supporting Humboldt’s Department of Environmental Science and Management.

Your gift will support experiential learning opportunities and will aid students in attending professional conferences, providing paid internships, purchasing scientific equipment, bringing guest speakers, enriching fieldwork experiences, and more. Our goal is to provide every student in the program with a learning experience outside the classroom as part of their educational experience at Cal Poly Humboldt. Your gift will help provide students with a life-changing experience.

About the charity

Cal Poly Humboldt students enjoy an extraordinary college experience, taking small classes taught by professors who know them by name. They live and learn in one of the world's most beautiful places—near ancient redwood forests, mountains and beaches.
