Wilson Freije 21 is a biochemistry and molecular biology major who spent the summer interning with IU School of Medicine radiation oncology lab where he assisted in the publication of research through reviewing data and editing.
Adapting my initial internship from a clinical and lab setting to remote work took a lot of patience and persistence. From this experience, I learned the importance of flexibility and creativity in finding ways to make a meaningful impact. I have learned to utilize more concise and precise language in writing. Additionally, through the evaluation of data, I have developed my critical analysis of scientific literature. These skills will greatly benefit me both in Independent Study this coming year and my professional future.
