WHY HELP?
Care Ring is on the frontlines of community health, providing preventive and specialty care to those who cannot afford or qualify for health insurance, and who are facing the challenges of poverty.
The need is great: currently, about 1 in 7 people in Mecklenburg County is uninsured.
Our Low-Cost Clinic is improving health outcomes for people with chronic diseases, and our Physicians Reach Out network of volunteer primary and specialty care providers are saving lives through free cancer treatments, surgeries, and more. Expectant mothers in our Nurse-Family Partnership program are paired up with a free Registered Nurse to help them have a healthy and successful pregnancy and provide parenting guidance and connections to important resources until the child's second birthday, breaking generational cycles of poverty and reducing incidents of childhood abuse and neglect.
