Join Team Tilth in support of the Family to Family Campaign!
Urban Tilth is building Team Tilth 2026, a crew of runners and fundraising champions running in the Oakland Running Festival on March 22, 2026. This year all funds raised will support our free, fresh food access programs serving local families in need.
We are inviting runners, walkers, joggers, and community champions to join Team Tilth, fundraise alongside us, and make every mile count for our community.
Our Champion Goal
Our goal is to assemble a team of 30+ champions who will help us keep these essential food access programs alive in 2026. We are already joined by 12 amazing champions who have committed to training together, fundraising together, and running or walking in solidarity for food justice. Join us!
Why We Run
Every dollar raised by Team Tilth supports Urban Tilth’s FREE CSA, FREE Farm Stand, and food box programs, helping ensure that over 500 Richmond families have access to fresh, locally grown produce each week through 2026. Running together strengthens our local food safety net, turns movement into mutual aid, and allows us to show up for our neighbors when it matters most.

Become a Team Tilth Champion
As a Family to Family Champion, you commit to fundraising a minimum goal of $500 and receive free Oakland Running festival race registration once that goal is met. Team Tilth is welcoming and supportive, whether you are an experienced runner or participating in your first race.
***Although we would love to run with you, you do not have to run a race to become a Family to Family champion. All you have to do is pledge to raise at least $500. You can do that by hosting a fundraiser or rallying your coworkers, friends, and family to reach your pledge goal. Create a fundraising page today using the instructions below.

2. Follow the steps to create your own fundraising page.
3. Set your goal at $500 or more.
4. Add a photo of yourself or one of Urban Tilth’s community programs.
5. Write a short, heartfelt story about why you’re becoming a Family to Family Champion and why supporting this campaign matters to you.
6. Email michelle@urbantilth.org after you’ve created your fundraising page so she can help get you signed up for the race of your choice.
7. Share your page with friends, family, and across your social media platforms to rally support.
Train With Team Tilth
Team Tilth training meetups take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00 AM at MLK Track, beginning Thursday, 01/29. Meet-ups are community-centered and beginner friendly, with space for runners, walkers, and all paces.
Schedule updates, training session invites, and opportunities to connect with training buddies will be shared through the Team Tilth Facebook group.
