Welcome to the first crowdfunding campaign of the Friends of the Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center. The Center serves the children of Yavapai College students and employees, as well as families from the community. Since 2009, Friends of the Family Enrichment Center (FoFEC) and the Yavapai College Foundation have held the Framing the Future annual fundraiser. Due to COVID-19, this year's much-anticipated event had to be cancelled. One of FoFEC's functions is to support FEC needs identified by the Center's Director.
For this campaign, we asked the Director and the teachers what the needs are for the Family Enrichment Center. Here are the requests:
The Discover Modular Climbing Wall Panels provide a safe climbing activity for children.https://eldowalls.com/product/discovery-climbing-wall-panels
Kids love crawling or running up hills to zoom back down on a fast Hill Slide. https://rustykeeler.com/product/hill-slides/
The Barefoot Sensory Path helps children learn balance, show awareness of their bodies and demonstrate a willingness to try new activities.
The Permanent Awning will provide a shaded play area for the Toddler Yard.
The Cajon Drums made from stainless steel provides for all year outdoor play.https://rustykeeler.com/product/cajon/
Jeannine Skousen, Interim Director of the FEC, shares a few words:
At the Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center, we envision a space where all children participate in a range of progressive and creative outdoor learning experiences through nature inspired curriculum. As we move into the New Year, your donation will help us create outdoor spaces where children engage with nature, develop environmental awareness, build muscles, find peace, and are inspired to create.
The community support of this campaign will positively impact the FEC for years to come. On behalf of our students and the program, thank you for your support.
Thank you to Framers Market & Gallery for donating the custom framing.
