If you are a Riverside team member, watch here instead!
Riversides Food as Medicine program provides Riverside patients in under-resourced communities with tools for a healthier lifestyle to reduce blood pressure and body mass index. In addition to group health coaching and group exercise classes, the program provides kits containing healthy food boxes, cooking supplies, and at-home blood pressure kits with readings that load to MyChart for daily monitoring and provider intervention.
Currently in practice at the Charlie W. and Golden Bethune Hill Community Health Clinic, the Program launched in September 2022 and already serves over 40 patients. Your gift of any size will support creating additional kits, allowing more patients to benefit and helping expand the program to other under-resourced communities.
