Story
The Rou Dalagurr: Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute was built entirely through community fundraising and grant support, and it continues to rely on that same collective commitment to thrive.
The Food Sovereignty Lab is a space for research grounded in Indigenous input, centering Tribal autonomy and self-determination at every step. This work is about more than research. It is about ensuring Indigenous sovereignty is upheld and that Indigenous communities retain authority over how their knowledges are approached, engaged with, represented, researched, and stewarded.

Community voice and representation are not add-ons here. They are foundational. Indigenous knowledge is not a monolith. Traditional ecological knowledges are place-based, community-specific, and deeply rooted in local relationships to land and water 🌱 Because of this, they must be housed, protected, and represented with and by the communities from which they originate.
When you contribute to the Rou Dalagurr: Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute, you are investing in Native youth leadership and strengthening food sovereignty across communities. Your support sustains meaningful opportunities for students and community members alike and ensures this vital work not only continues, but grows.
Make a gift today and be part of sustaining Indigenous-led research, education, and community impact 🤝 Every contribution, no matter the size, directly supports students, community partnerships, and the continued growth of the Food Sovereignty Lab.
