Botanical Gardens aren't a new concept. However, the need for public gardens and arboreta is evolving and growing.
When a few community members began making plans for what is now the Huntsville Botanical Garden, it's unclear if they understood what a ripple effect this Garden would have. Once the seed was planted, the community began to understand the importance of having a 118-acre Garden. Since then, the support has been monumental and many milestones have followed.
Now, more than ever, we need your help to keep up with Huntsville's growth. In addition to being known as the Rocket City, we also want to be known for the work we are doing here at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. We want to be known nationally and globally for our unique resources, including our diverse collections of plant species, historical records, conservation efforts, and our expert staff. While we are already nationally recognized in some ways, we want to continue that trend and need your help doing so.
Huntsville is growing. So should its Garden.
