Children's of Mississippi is the only hospital in the state dedicated to caring exclusively for children. Although our providers are offering world-class care, they are in a facility that lacks adequate space and is often at capacity. Critical imaging is done in the adult hospital on oversized equipment. The NICU cares for nearly 100 babies in a space designed for 30. Children recovering from surgery are in an open ward where parents have little room to be beside them.

In 2016, we launched a Growing Campaign to expand Children's of Mississippi. The funds raised will provide an advanced facility with 88 private NICU rooms, 32 private pediatric ICU rooms, and a dedicated imaging area for children. To date, more than 84% of our $100 million philanthropic goal has been raised, made possible only by generous community members who recognize the critical needs that exist.
