Every year, 6,000 women in Missouri are diagnosed with breast cancer that's one every 90 minutes. According to The American Journal of Medicine, 42% of all cancer patients exhaust their lifes savings to continue to treatment; and in 2020, 50% of cancer patients talked with their doctor about skipping treatment or medication to reduce cost. Those with more resources to afford and access care survive 5 years longer than those without.

The mission of Gateway to Hope is to champion change by removing barriers to affordable, timely, quality breast healthcare, and empowering people to live full and healthy lives. Cancer does not discriminate. It does not care where you live or how much money you earn. We believe everyone deserves access to affordable, quality healthcare. That is why we work every day to support individuals who are financially struggling by empowering them to access the care they need. Research shows that people with a support network have better outcomes. We start with the patient and build a one-on-one relationship they can count on to listen, educate and support them as they receive treatment so they can focus on healing.
