We call on our community to support access to established medically necessary health care for transgender youth. Although transgender healthcare is recognized as the standard of care by every major medical association, transgender children are being denied medical care - and in some states, parents and doctors are criminalized for seeking and providing this approved care.
Today, nearly 2.5 million young transgender and non-binary people face the real possibility of losing access to the healthcare they need to thrive.
We are young people and parents. We come from all parts of this country and from differing backgrounds and beliefs. We are your neighbors, your friends, your colleagues. Laws barring access to medical care are hurting people, and young people in particular.
