At Homeboy Industries we understand the education has a generational impact. As the largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world we make it our mission to aid in the success of thousands that walk though our doors. Year to year we see an increasing number of program participants choose school over the streets.

Diplomas and degrees are positive credentials and actualized symbols of progress and change. And every year, the Academic Education and Pathways to College Program at Homeboy Industries supports hundreds of people who are pursuing various academic pathways. To help students reach academic goals, the educational services team collaborates with educational institutions such as Learning Works Charter School, Twilight Adult School, community colleges, CSUs, UCs, and private colleges.

Every student has access to Homeboy Industries’ comprehensive wrap around, social services. Within the program, spaces are created for students to hold dialogue around inequitable school systems, the importance of lived wisdom combined with academic knowledge, and how imperative relationships are to engage in and create the change to revolutionize academic spaces that have intentionally and systemically excluded them.
