Meet Tasha: A Survivor’s Journey

On her 33rd birthday, Tasha was living in fear. For years, she’d endured emotional and physical abuse from her partner. That day, she made a decision—she called House of Ruth Maryland.

Tasha entered our emergency shelter with her two children. With time, care, and community, she found safety and stability. Today, she has her own apartment, a steady job, and her kids are thriving in school.
