Story

IEEE-USA is the organizational unit of IEEE that supports the career and public policy interests of IEEE's U.S. members. Your generous donation will support initiatives designed to to enhance U.S. IEEE members' careers, build vital connections between technology professionals and federal policymakers and regulators, improve K-12 STEM education, and promote public awareness of the profession. Supported programs include:

- IEEE-USA Government Fellows Fund - The Fellowships program leverages U.S. IEEE Members' knowledge and expertise to provide timely advice and assistance to the U.S. Federal Government, and to help educate U.S. IEEE Members on public policies that affect the STEM community. Your gift will help make it possible for IEEE Members to spend year living and working in Washington as advisers to either the US Congress or the US Department of State, providing expert advice to policymakers on issues that affect IEEE Members and the greater good. Your gift will help make it possible for IEEE-USA to sponsor students from across the country in the Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE) program, which provides qualified IEEE Student Members an opportunity to spend a summer in Washington DC learning how government officials make decisions on complex technological issues, and how engineers and scientists can contribute to the process.
