IES Abroad Vienna class member, Charles (Chuck) Taylor, attended Marietta College and found the highlight of his college career to be the year he spent with IES Abroad studying in Vienna. His studies there became the basis for PhD in Philosophy and a 35-year teaching career in the College of Liberal Arts at Wright State College where he is a Dean Emeritus and Professor of Philosophy Emeritus. He enjoyed teaching a wide variety of students from traditional undergraduates to returning adults.

To honor his accomplishments and those of his IES Abroad Vienna classmates, he provided the initial funding for an endowed scholarship to which he will invite his classmates to support.
