There are places at camp that leave a mark on all of us.

For many generations of campers and staff at Camp St. Croix, Breakfast Point is one of those places.

Tucked away on the south-side hiking trails are the oldest, most historic cabins on site, which have been a home for some of the most meaningful experiences at Croix. For years, they were standard camper cabins that had been enjoyed by many, before being moved to Breakfast Point where they eventually became the heart of our Leadership Development Program. Here, these cabins grew into a place where young people gathered around tables, stayed up late talking, challenged themselves, made mistakes, encouraged one another, and began to discover the kind of leaders they could become.

But Breakfast Point was never just about the cabins. It was about what happened there.

For LDP participants, it was a place to reflect on the day, find solitude, laugh with friends, and learn from the people around them. Ask someone who spent time there what they remember, and you may hear stories of campfires, rainy nights, ridiculous laughter, late-night conversations, and early-morning debriefs. Listen a little longer, and you'll hear something deeper: stories of belonging, friendship and growth.
