Why Now?

The social and economic impact of COVID-19 has had an indelible impact in the lives of children and families in our communities. Job uncertainty, anxiety, hunger and basic survival have become realities for thousands of families and as a result we've seen a sharp increase child abuse cases.

During the pandemic, the idea of #saferathome has been widely agreed upon however, for vulnerable children, home very well may not be the safest place they can be. Their safe places (schools, daycares, sports, etc.) have been closed and inaccessible for months. When restrictions lift, a tsunami of need among children will become suddenly evident. Your generosity positions Olive Crest to be able to meet that need head on with love, compassion and safety.
