The Bell family is mourning the loss of their beloved son, Benito who recently lost his fight to the Coronavirus. Benito was a loving young man, and at 26 years of age, he was taken from us all too soon. Benito served his community as an EMT for Otisville Fire Department and EMSTAR. He had a passion for information technology and will always be remembered for his kind, pure heart.
A fund has been established to support Soraya Urban-Bell and her family. After 3 weeks at Albany Medical Center, Soraya is now home with her family by her side. Our thoughts and prayers are with Soraya and her family.
Soraya started her career in Horton Hospital and has been a nurse for over 25 years and has worked in a variety of practice settings including a nurse in 3 North PCU, for the past several years. Soraya is a special caregiver: devoted to providing high quality safe patient care with compassion and positivity. Soraya is an extraordinary friend and coworker.
She was nominated this year for the 1199 Nurse of Distinction Award and has been recognized internally for her patient care and compassion. Soraya is pursuing her Bachelors degree in Nursing while working full time at ORMC and also maintains another job in a cardiologists office. Soraya raised five boys, which amazingly includes two sets of twins.
