Running for the Heart: Dr. Pollock’s Mission at the Rock Hall Waterman’s Triathlon
When Dr. Pollock laces up his shoes for the Rock Hall Waterman’s Triathlon, he’s not just racing against the clock—he’s racing for every patient who’s ever walked into his office.
As a leading cardiologist at UM St. Joseph Medical Center's Sandra R. Berman Heart Institute, Dr. Pollock has devoted his life to helping people live longer, healthier lives. With deep expertise in heart and vascular health, he doesn’t just treat heart disease—he helps prevent it. Whether he’s using advanced imaging techniques to catch early signs of trouble or sitting beside a patient to explain the steps to a healthier future, Dr. Pollock’s care is always personal, precise, and deeply compassionate.
At the Berman Heart Institute, Dr. Pollock serves as the Medical Director of Cardiology Operations and Co-Chair for Heart Failure across the University of Maryland Medical System. His leadership ensures that patients receive coordinated, cutting-edge care—from diagnosis through rehabilitation. He’s also been named a Baltimore magazine “Top Doctor” multiple times, but his greatest reward is seeing his patients return to the lives and people they love.
Now, Dr. Pollock is taking on the physical challenge of the triathlon to support the mission he lives every day. Every step he runs, every mile he bikes, and every stroke he swims is a testament to his commitment—not just to his own fitness, but to the well-being of every patient at UM St. Joseph Medical Center.
Your donation isn’t just a contribution—it’s an investment in compassionate, lifesaving care. It’s fuel for Dr. Pollock’s journey and for the countless journeys toward healing that begin every day at St. Joe’s.
