My name is Kachina Natosha Jones, and I am honored to be a University of West Georgia homecoming royalty candidate. I am a 24-year-old student-veteran who is enrolled into the Richards College of Business. My pursuit of my bachelors of business administration has almost come to an end, as I complete my senior year of college. This has been an amazing two and a half years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to experience many great people and places.
Recently, I was selected to be one of the Capital Scholars for May 2022. I was able to participate in a five-day residential experience with student led discussions and recreation at Milton and Rose Freidmans home in beautiful Vermont. Along with this, I was selected to be the recipient of two amazing scholarships within my two years of being at UWG. In 2020 and 2022, the Time and Dede Brown Scholarship was awarded to me for my past experiences, a desire to succeed, and my demonstrated effort. Also, in 2021, I was the recipient of the United Voices Gospel Choirs Scholarship. All of these things mentioned will help contribute to my future goals. Some of my future endeavors include working with the youth while becoming a certified mental health and sexual assault advocate and furthering my career to become an Air Force officer.
