Story
KRFH has been keeping the spirit of student-run college radio alive in Humboldt County since 1990. As one of the last fully student-run stations in the country, KRFH is proudly free-form—meaning student DJs manage the station and choose what goes on air (within FCC guidelines). That freedom creates a space for diverse voices and gives students hands-on experience that builds valuable life and career skills, whether they pursue broadcasting or not.
When you support KRFH, you’re helping sustain a unique, independent media presence in our community while investing in student growth and creativity.
With increasing competition for student fee funding, donor support plays a critical role in keeping the station strong. Contributions help fund studio and performance equipment, daily operations, administrative needs, events, promotions, merchandise, and travel—everything that keeps KRFH running and evolving.
KRFH continues to grow thanks to the support of its community, alumni, and faculty. Make a gift today and help ensure independent, student-driven radio stays on the air in Humboldt County for years to come.
Don’t let independent radio fade out—make your gift today and keep KRFH on the air.
