As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

DROWNING PREVENTION

Y programs provide critical safety around water knowledge and teach swimming skills for youth and adults.

In 2022, the Legacy Foundation Chris-Town YMCA will: Provide 250 youth with a summer of swim lessons free of charge

ADVANCING CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.

In 2022, the Legacy Foundation Chris-Town YMCA will: Provide 1,000 youth with scholarships for youth sports and childcare programs

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES

Y programs support parents in creating stronger families to lower child poverty, reduce social-isolation, increase positive health outcomes, and increase family income.

In 2022, the Legacy Foundation Chris-Town YMCA will: Provide 50 families with a Y membership

PROMOTING HEALTHY LIVING

Y membership and wellness programs can improve the health and well-being of our community to reduce chronic disease, obesity, and improve mental health.

In 2022, the Legacy Foundation Chris-Town YMCA will: Provide 30 youth and their families with diabetes prevention programming and Y membership
