Memorializing Libby Wright's Legacy
For more than a century, Libby Wright lived a life defined by kindness, leadership, and unwavering commitment to her community. She was known by all who met her as a beautiful lady and caring friend whose compassion touched countless lives.
Libby built a remarkable 30-year career in real estate, becoming President of the Michigan Association of Realtors and serving in leadership roles nationally. Her dedication to service extended far beyond her profession. In 1976, Libby became the first woman appointed to the Hurley Medical Center Board of Managers and later made history as the first female Chair of the Hurley Board.
A long-time breast cancer survivor, Libby believed deeply in celebrating every victory and supporting others on their journeys. Her faith, resilience, and generosity shaped a legacy rooted in helping others succeed and thrive.
In honor of her 100th birthday, Libby's family established the Libby Wright Legacy Endowment Fund at Hurley Foundation; a fund dedicated to education and career development for women pursuing leadership roles in healthcare. In just two years, the Endowment has already helped multiple women advance their education and professional paths.
Today, we invite you to celebrate Libby's life by continuing the impact she began.
Your gift will help empower future healthcare leaders, ensuring Libby's spirit of encouragement and opportunity lives on for generations.
If Libby touched your life, inspired you, or if you simply believe in the power of helping women succeed in healthcare leadership, please consider making a gift in her memory.
Together, we can continue Libby's legacy of compassion, leadership, and opportunity.
