Libraries Have Heart Fund

The Libraries Have Heart Fund will support the Iowa Heart Foundation in expanding access to heart‑health education across the state. Donations will help provide Iowa libraries with cardiovascular education books and reliable blood pressure devices.

The Iowa Heart Center Foundation is committed to improving heart health education and dedicated to the prevention of heart disease. For over 30 years we have been contributing to clinical and community outreach by providing access to emerging information on cardiovascular health.

Story

Libraries are the epicenter of education and community connection. Through our Libraries Have Heart Fund, Iowa Heart Foundation will place more cardiovascular health books and blood pressure devices in these trusted community spaces.

In 2025, we donated 24 blood pressure devices across 12 new library sites—an important step toward making heart‑health education accessible to every Iowan. The Iowa Heart Foundation has specialized in youth education for decades, and we’re committed to ensuring that all Iowans, from children to adults, have the knowledge and tools to monitor their blood pressure and take charge of their health.

Iowa’s youth are our future, and reducing the prevalence of heart disease in our state begins with early education. By starting where learning begins—our libraries—we can empower communities, support healthier futures, and build a stronger, heart‑healthy Iowa.
