Paws for a Cause Gala supports the Paws for Patrick mission. In case you are unfamiliar with Paws For Patrick, we connect young people living with mental illness to Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) and Therapy Dogs to aid them as they navigate life. In just over 3 years, we have received over 500 requests from young people living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, among other mental illnesses, to help them find, pay and train an ESA to support them in their struggles. In addition, our team of 30 Therapy Dogs have made visits to over 600 facilities and events reaching over 5,000 people. Our goal is to never have to turn a young person away due to lack of resources.

In order to reach that goal, we are having our second annual Paws for a Cause on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 28 Mile in Highwood. So get excited! This event will feature The Freddie Jones Band, food and libations, a paddle raise, and a live and silent auction. The proceeds from this event will truly allow us to bring the love of animals to the people who need it most.
