The Lakes Area Music Festival's 2020/21 Winter Series begins with Love Letters, a vocal recital of intimate sentiments performed in an intimate space. Performed by artistic directors Scott Lykins and John Taylor Ward, highlights include the US premier of Gerald Barry's 'Beethoven', a witty and heart-rending setting of Ludwig van Beethovens own love letters, Samuel Coleridge Taylors sumptuous and seldom-heard 'Songs of Sun and Shade', as well as works by H. T. Burleigh, Kate Soper, Beethoven, Franz Schubert, and Erich Korngold.
