Story
Every year so many seniors and families make difficult decisions - to turn the heat on, or put food on the table - to buy medicine or buy food. Those are choices no one should have to make. We live in a country with great resources, yet there are so many who go without.
LSMNJ has continued their tradition of helping those in need by opening two food pantries, one for families in North Camden and one for seniors in Pennsauken. With the help of our donors, we have always made sure our residents were able to enjoy their holidays. But we could not have done this without the help of our donors.
This year has seen even more upheaval and more hurdles to overcome to receive assistance. In New Jersey, we have dealt with COVID 19 (as did the rest of the world), Hurricane Henry, Hurricane Ida, and the already present underserved communities. Although there is assistance, there is also confusion on where to receive it, who is eligible and what type of assistance is available. We want to be able to say yes to those who need our help. And we cannot do that without your help.
So please, consider joining me in the Holiday Feast Challenge to help our neighbors and allowing LSMNJ to say yes.
We wish you health, happiness, peace and love now and throughout the holiday season.
