Story
On this 10-day trip, we will visit rural communities that have little access to health care. Our objective is to provide primary care to children and families at International Needs schools. The team members will perform screening, prophylaxis, treatment, and hospital referrals for complicated situations.
Almost every year since 2005, the Canadian medical team has made the trip to work with International Needs Ghana, the ministry of health, public health officials, and practitioners from surrounding communities. Through this collaboration, the children in rural communities will be in a healthier condition to learn and then go on to thrive in life.
