Story
The Robin Meiggs Scholarship Endowment provides vital support for Cal Poly Humboldt’s women’s rowing student-athletes 🚣♀️—helping them meet the intense demands of both academics and competition.
Rowing isn’t a casual commitment. These athletes train up to 20 hours a week, on top of travel and competition schedules. That kind of workload leaves little room for part-time jobs, making it difficult to keep up with everyday expenses.
That’s where this endowment makes a real difference. Scholarship support helps close the gap—allowing student-athletes to stay focused on their education 🎓, their team, and their performance on the water without the added strain of financial pressure.
Now, Humboldt alumni are stepping up to amplify that impact. Cedra DuFlon-Heide (’94, Business Administration) and Robin Meiggs (’89, Speech Communication; ’92, Physical Education), alongside Scott Heller, have come together to create a $5,000 matching fund—doubling the power of every gift.
By giving, you’re investing in more than a team. You’re supporting discipline, resilience, and opportunity. You’re helping student-athletes push forward and succeed in every arena.
Honor Robin Meiggs’s legacy. Support women’s rowing. And make your gift go twice as far—give today 💪
