Story
Did you know skin cancers are more common than breast, prostate, lung, and colon cancers combined? 1 in 3 cancers diagnosed are skin cancers and are one of the few cancers with rising incidence rates in Canada. Whether you're in a remote region, an underserved area, or a major city, the Mole Mobile is dedicated to educating people in Canada about early detection and prevention of melanoma and skin cancer.
Building on the success of previous years, the 2026 tour marks the first time the Mole Mobile will deliver coast-to-coast access to early detection and education. The initiative provides critical screenings to Canadians who might otherwise face long wait times to see a dermatologist.
Presented by national sponsor Neutrogena® (a Kenvue brand), the 2026 tour aims to significantly expand its reach following a record-breaking 2025 season that delivered more than 8,000 screenings across four provinces. This year, the program is targeting more than 15,000 screenings nationwide, continuing to address critical gaps in access to dermatologic care across Canada.
“The expansion of the Mole Mobile to all 10 provinces is a pivotal step toward equitable access to early detection,” said Dr. Julia Carroll, National Mole Mobile Chair, and Member, Board of Directors, Melanoma Canada. “By meeting Canadians where they are, we can identify skin cancers earlier, improve outcomes, and ultimately save lives.”
