On Saturday, April 12th, St. Joseph’s Health Board Member, Bill O’Shaughnessy will be walking the 50+ mile Virginia Capital Trail from Richmond to Jamestown, to support the organization he so proudly serves. He aims to complete the walk in a single day, approximately 4AM-9PM.
“Every day, the terrific team at St. Joseph Health goes the distance for the patients and community they serve. On this day, I am going to try to go the “extra mile” for them" - Bill O'Shaughnessy.
If you would like to support Bill in going the “extra mile” for St. Joseph’s Health you may do so on this page, via mail to St. Joseph’s Health Foundation, PO Box 29000, Newark, NJ 07101-9888 with a note that it is for Miles for a Mission, or by calling the Foundation office at 973-754-GIVE (4483).
During the walk, Bill will devote a mile to an individual or a group of individuals, that will include prayer, reflection or a phone call. For donations of $100 or more, Bill will place a "memory stone" at the mile marker chosen. Please let Bill or the Foundation (donations@sjhmc.org or 973-754-GIVE) know if you are interested in this “investment” and which particular mile number you would like.
