Visit the charity's profileYOUTHWORKS is a youth empowerment and community service initiative engaging our community's youth directly through mentoring, volunteering, and philanthropy. YOUTHWORKS is a partnership between Yakima Valley Memorial, The Memorial Foundation and local high schools providing philanthropy education, input on youth healthcare programs and fundraising opportunities to support Yakima Valley Memorials children's fund.
Proceeds from YOUTHWORKS Mr. Pageants help pediatric programs and health education for local children at Yakima Valley Memorial and Children's Village, which serves over 10,000 children each year through hospital treatment, educational programs, and family services. The YouthWorks Pageants last year raised over $112,000 to fund NICU and Children's Village programs.
All sponsorships and donations directly benefit children's programs at Children's Village as well as Yakima Valley Memorial, both not for profit hospitals.
At Yakima Valley Memorial, YOUTHWORKS fundraising generates dollars for the following primary areas administered by The Memorial Foundation:
- Neonatal Intensive Care for Newborns
-Trauma care for children
-Pediatric physical therapy
-35 different specialties at Children's Village
-Family Birthplace
