Dear friends,

Whenever possible, I always try to find the best way we can support each other to create a positive impact. This is what has driven to support many worthy causes, including my current service on the Board of Directors at Delta Institute. Many of you made very generous gifts in celebration of my birthday last year for which I am very grateful. Delta Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to collaborating with communities across the Midwest to solve complex environmental challenges. Thanks to everyone who supported Delta's efforts this past year, we have marked some significant impact milestones:

As a Board Director, I have been involved in refining our strategic plan to drive even more focused impact goals for the future, including:

Assisting communities with integrating natural and green infrastructure, ultimately reducing stormwater impacts by 100 million gallons and leveraging $100 million in investments;

Supporting 1,000 farmers as they transition to resilient, sustainable, and regenerative farming practices, thus improving the environment, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and strengthening a farmer's bottom line - with one million Midwestern acres successfully transitioning;

Collaborating with partner communities to help meet their unique sustainability goals, including waste and deconstruction, community planning and brownfield redevelopment, agency support and capacity assistance, and sustainable business consulting.

Delta Institute's work could not be more dear to my heart. The past 18 months have been uniquely challenging for all of us. Yet I nevertheless still find hope in organizations like Delta Institute and my many friends and colleagues who decided to join me in supporting their mission last year.

For my birthday this year, I'm asking you to donate a gift to support Delta Institute and the important work we do to support the environment, economic development, and the fight against climate change.
