Since 2018, the Student Emergency Fund (SEF) has helped SUNY Oneonta students who face unexpected situations that threaten their ability to continue their education. The Student Emergency Fund helps students with non-college-based expenses like groceries, rent, medical bills, clothing, transportation, internet access, and other utilities. The SEF is an important asset in helping retain students and help them reach their full potential when unforeseen circumstances may otherwise prevent it.
