In mid-March, OYE closed its physical doors until further notice to protect our community amidst the growing COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was incredibly hard, as face-to-face interactions and OYE's youth center in El Progreso are essential to how we educate, empower, and create community.

But our youth and families are resilient, and so is OYE. This crisis is an opportunity to be innovative, pursue new strategies, and harness technology to connect when coming together physically is not an option.

Going virtual will allow us to keep our community as engaged and vibrant as ever. This is where you come in.

Your gift today ensures that we can offer virtual solutions to keep our youth connected right now and into the future.

This campaign will support virtual programs and services, including circle discussions, webinars, exercise sessions, creative education programming and tele-counseling. Your gift will: 1) provide mobile data to youth who have no access to Internet or computers at home ; 2) equip youth with tablets and other tools for virtual learning; and 3) support training of staff and youth leaders in virtual teaching methods.

At the same time, many of our youth and families have lost their entire household income and are struggling to put food on the table each day. This fund will also provide immediate food assistance for youth and families in need.
