Palmetto State College Day of Giving

PSC depends on the generosity of our alumni, friends, and donors to reach our annual Alumni Fund goal each year.

You will play an important role in the life of Palmetto State College and help assure PSC continues to be one of the top small colleges in America by participating in #PSCGivingTuesday on Nov.27, the global day of giving. The goal for the day is 829 gifts. Alumni, faculty, staff, students and members of the community-at-large are encouraged to be 1/829 supporters to celebrate the day with a financial gift to the college.
We are celebrating a day dedicated to giving when charities, families, businesses, communities, students, and more will all come together for #GivingTuesday, commented David Jarman, Vice President for Development. Millions of people will come together on this day to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.
A committee comprised of faculty, students, and staff led by Randi Zaremba, Director of Annual Gifts, is working diligently to make the day a success. These individuals will be greeting donors throughout the day who visit campus in person.
Student sub-committee co-chair Bree Gregory, Class of 2019, a senior from Greenville, SC said that to her the special day is not so much about the monetary gifts as about a group of people coming together to support what they believe in. She added, I encourage all students to give because we are lucky enough to directly see the impact these gifts make. By giving back, we are paving the way to leave the college better than how we found it.
Please join the movement. Be one of the 829 (1/829, a little play on the year of PSCs founding). The emphasis is on the number of gifts of any dollar amount. Last year, however, over $100,000 was raised in just one day, thanks to the generosity of nearly 800 individuals.
Donations may be made securely online using a credit card at psc.edu/givingtuesday for the 24-hour period beginning at midnight on the 27th. Or make a gift in person by credit card, check, or cash. College personnel will greet visitors in front of Hilbert Hall on campus from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
When you make your gift in person from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Palmetto State College Womans Association invites you to visit their Community Open House to enjoy refreshments and conversation in the Gwaltney Student Union. They will happily give a campus tour for anyone who would like it.
Gifts will also be accepted during that evening basketball games inPalmetto Alumni Gym. Updates will be given throughout the day via social media posts.
On this #PSCGivingTuesday, please make a gift to Palmetto State College, urged Mr. Zaremba. Be assured your gift will make a huge difference in lives of our students.
