The PA Program is seeking to raise funds to help support newly graduated PA students who are focused on diversity and want to teach in the future.
Over 40% of Augsburg PA students are from BIPOC communities and we are striving to increase representation not only in our student body but also our faculty and staff through a graduate fellowship program. The PA Program is seeking donations to fund fellowships for newly graduated BIPOC and diversity-minded PA students with the goal to increase teaching representation in the classroom and inspire fellows to become educators in the future.
The Augsburg PA Fellows' scope of work happens shortly after graduation and before beginning their first clinical job as a PA (approximately 3 months). Fellows help teach and mentor current students in the classroom, guide the department in its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and foster an environment that creates empathetic, equity-minded medical providers. Over the past 3 year, the impact of our fellows' work has inspired over 100 Augsburg PA students and created a more diverse and supportive learning environment.
