Friends of Pequot Library—a nonprofit, public association library—are part of a devoted community of book lovers and readers of all ages. We remain most grateful for an appropriation from the Town of Fairfield, which supports about 20 percent of our annual operations, and rely on the continued support of donors like you. The generosity from our supporters enables our work to bring literature, history, and the arts “free as air to all,” as stated by our founder, Virginia Marquand Monroe.
Spring always has the look and feel of new beginnings for me. Fittingly for this time of the year at Pequot Library, we have a new, refreshed support program: an updated “Friends of the Library” initiative that has both our loyal annual donors and first-time contributors in mind. We have a host of special benefits at various levels of giving, which are described in the enclosed brochure.
By making a tax-deductible donation today, you are joining a valued group of dedicated supporters of Pequot Library. We simply could not offer our distinctive lineup of educational experiences for all ages without your support. Your gift to the library will help us purchase and circulate books for free, provide a variety of in-person and online programs like “Meet the Author” talks and children’s story times, curate and display exhibitions, and support the work necessary to care for our Special Collections consisting of rare books, manuscripts, and archives.
Please consider making a donation before June 30, when our fiscal year ends.
