Story
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to make significant adjustments to our operations to adhere to social distancing guidelines and the stay-at-home order, and to maximize the health and safety of our patients and staff. In just a matter of weeks, we drastically reduced our health centers' capacity and implemented telehealth services to ensure continuity of care for our patients.
But these new programs and procedures have come at a cost. From building out a brand-new infrastructure for telehealth, to providing personal protective equipment (PPE) for all health center staff, we have had a dramatic increase in unforeseen expenses.
We need your help to ensure that we can withstand this crisis without compromising our patients' access to reproductive and sexual health care, including abortion. Our communities are relying on Planned Parenthood to ease the demand on hospitals and emergency rooms so that those health facilities can focus on responding to COVID-19 cases. And while some state legislatures are exploiting this pandemic to restrict access to safe and legal abortion, it's critical that we continue providing essential services for the women and families who rely on us. We need to be strong for this moment while ensuring the long-term stability of our organization, and we need your support.
The COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund will help keep our health center doors openand our telehealth lines open too! We hope you'll make a gift to the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund to ensure all those who rely on us have access to the high-quality, affordable care they need and deserve. Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters Cathy Stiefel and Keith Behner, all donations, up to $250,000, will be matched, doubling the impact of your support!
